Doi Kyodai Jidosha Kogyo that was damaged by the earthquake on Friday the 11th March 2011 has resumed the service since 22nd March 2011.

 

However, unfortunately, one of the RWI booking offices, All Nippon Checkers Corporation (ANCC) Tohoku Branch / Sendai, the area was damaged and is currently not functional.

Therefore, JEVIC Head Office is covering their booking administration. Please contact JEVIC Head Office for any RWI bookings.

 

As alternated, ANCC is setting up another booking office in Shiogama, Miyagi, and the office is planned to be started from next month.

We will announce the date on this News when it is confirmed.

 

This might be changed due to the frequent earthquake happening in the area recently.

JEVIC wish to pass on to all our clients our heartfelt thoughts and concerns to the many people who have been affected by the recent events in Japan.

As a result of the radiation concerns New Zealand MAF have taken the decision to withdraw all its staff from Japan effective Friday 18th March.

This is for a 2 week period only, with the current plan to resume NZ MAF / NZTA clearance at Japan sites from Monday 4th April.

For vehicles within JEVIC Yokohama, Kawasaki, Nagoya and Osaka facilities, JEVIC will continue to complete NZ MAF / NZTA clearances in Japan using the JEVIC Equivalent systems approved by both NZMAF and NZTA. Therefore no disruption is expected.

All units for export to Australia will need to be inspected in Australia during this period.

In addition, due to rolling power blackouts in the Kanto area some sites are at limited capacity. However we do not see any substantial effect on the overall inspection volume completion in the area. Your co-operation and understanding is appreciated.

 

All other inspection sites around Japan remain open.
